After Stockholm and Milan, London is the location for UK’s only ABSOLUT ICEBAR LONDON. Cocktails are made from the crystal clear waters of the Torne River, regarded as the purest ice in the world. Since the opening in October 2005 they have received a record number of visitors and caused a stir with press worldwide.
For those of us looking for something a little more cutting edge than a night in a bar, Below Zero restaurant sits snugly alongside ABSOLUT ICEBAR LONDON which allows the customers the unique experience of freezing temperatures before releasing them into the sumptuous interior of Below Zero to enjoy the delights of modern cuisine.


The menu has been created by the award winning Head Chef Dimitry Rode and reflects his wide experience and knowledge in creating a cutting edge bill of fare. Below Zero offers modern European cuisine which borders on a Tapas style menu and fine dining. Signature dishes include the Oyster Samba; an array of exquisitely filled oysters and sashimi, both are brought to your table on ice platters; a unique and visually impressive addition.

Dimitry wants to challenge the traditional dining experience by feasting on his ‘ice breaking’ shared platters consisting of Grilled Loin of Tuna, Salt and Pepper Tiger Prawns and Duck Two Ways. For the smaller appetites the Chef highly recommends the Below Zero special; Soft Shell Crab Taco an explosion of flavours, goats cheese with grilled asparagus and semi dried tomatoes as well as some quail breasts, prosciutto and balsamic figs. Below Zero also offer a selection of side dishes, perfect for sharing with friends, and not to be missed is the delights of house cut fries, an avocado, tomato and cucumber salad with sunflower dressing and some steamed broccoli with salted black beans and garlic, a dish you can enjoy with close friends.
Dimitry has travelled the world and has had vast experience with the press as well as celebrities, he has attracted many celebrities to Below Zero, such as Robert De Niro, Craig David, G4, Jade Jagger, Lisa Scott Lee, Leah Wood to name a few!

The founders Alex de Pommes, Fred Olsson, Jason Graham and Simon Every met three years ago. After many futile searches, a fierce battle with Westminster Council and a fantastic deal with the ICEHOTEL franchise in Sweden the Below Zero team created this fire and ice experience. Fred Olsson says: “Being able to offer the public something unique every six months is very exciting, and even though ABSOLUT ICEBAR LONDON is permanent we like to surprise our guests and make even a re-visit completely unique. This new design is very different from the last one and I can’t wait to see the reaction from the crowd”

ABSOLUT ICEBAR LONDON is developed from the ICEHOTEL in Jukkasjärvi, Northern Sweden.


There are 5 ABSOLUT ICEBAR in the world: Milan, Sweden, Tokyo and London including the ICEHOTEL in Sweden.

Every 6 months ABSOLUT ICEBAR LONDON will be melted down and rebuilt. The new ice will be imported from the River Torne and will be transported into Central London where the artist Arne Bergh will construct a brand new ABSOLUT ICEBAR LONDON.

Julia Orlando Adzuke and Mark arl Szulgit are the designers behind the new look and using the new flavour from ABSOLUT; ABSOLUT APEACH as their creative muse.

An event in Below Zero can be combined with a visit into the ABSOLUT ICEBAR LONDON. As ABSOLUT ICEBAR is minus 5 degrees, visits are limited to 45 minutes per guest and capes are provided for warmth. The ABSOLUT ICEBAR has a capacity of 60 guests. It is available for private hire (45 min timeslots) in conjunction with events depending on availability.

Below Zero offer just under fifty covers whilst the Reindeer & Moose Room, where you can enjoy a drink or food, has just over one hundred seats.

Below Zero will be available for private events 7 days a week for lunchtime events and Sunday to Wednesday for evening events. Below Zero & ABSOLUT ICEBAR LONDON are open to the public from 11:30am until 11:30pm daily.
